W. C. Patton Park

W. C. Patton Park is a peaceful and picturesque park in the foothills of Birmingham, AL. W. C. Patton offers visitors more than 250 acres of beautiful scenery that looks like it has been lifted straight out of a storybook. There are plenty of opportunities for active recreation, as well as serene nature trails to enjoy, and W. C.'s ponds offer some great fishing opportunities; there's even an on-site bait shop if you don't want to bring your own gear. W.C.'s pavilion can be rented out for birthdays or other celebrations too - what better way to celebrate than with the beauty this park has to offer?

W. C. Patton Park

History

The W. C. Patton Park is a beautiful and peaceful park located in the heart of the city. The park was dedicated on October 12, 1913, and is named after William Calvin Patton, who was killed in action during the Civil War at the Battle of Perryville. Patton served as a captain in Company G, Eleventh Kentucky Infantry Regiment, and he is one of the many examples of honor W. C. Patton Park holds today.

The W. C. Patton Park has a total area 0f 35 acres, with 34 acres for green space and an additional acre as public roadways within the park that are used by pedestrians and bicyclists to enjoy this wonderful location across from downtown. The W. C. Patton Park contains three ponds, which are stocked with fish for the enjoyment of visitors, as well as several beautiful bridges that cross over the water.


The park is also home to numerous statues and monuments, including a statue honoring Confederate soldiers and sailors who fought in the Civil War and a monument dedicated to Kentucky's First Lady, Sallie W. Taylor Patton.


The W. C. Patton Park is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon or evening and offers something for everyone in the family to enjoy!


Things to Do

W. C. Patton Park W.C. Patton park is a very relaxing place to go for an afternoon walk, or even just sit and read under the shade of one of its many beautiful trees. To get there, drive north on Shattuck St until you reach Kensington Ave in Berkeley (about five minutes). Turn left onto Kensington Avenue and drive until you reach W.C. Patton park, which will be on your right-hand side. If you're looking for a place to take a picnic or have a barbecue W.C. Patton park is definitely the spot for you! There's also plenty of room for kids to run around and play safely.

The W. C. Patton Park is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year for its peaceful surroundings and picturesque views. The best time to visit W.C. Patton is during autumn when the leaves are changing color or in the spring when the flowers are blooming. W C Patton Park W.C. W. C. Patton Park W. C. Patton Park is a beautiful recreational area that consists of 52 acres with lush vegetation and wildlife, which includes foxes, deer, rabbits, birds, and insects. The park also offers a pavilion, picnic tables, restrooms, playground equipment, and a fishing pond.

W. C. Patton Park is located on Waco’s north side and offers a playground, pavilion with picnic tables, and a fishing pond. The park is well-known for its beautiful rose garden that features more than 200 different varieties of roses. Visitors can also enjoy the quiet surroundings while taking a walk or relaxing on one of the park benches with its peaceful atmosphere and outdoor amenities.
